We're proud to collaborate with Re-Wrap, a registered Fair Trade Company (WFTO) & Community Interest Company (CIC) that supports skilled artisans in India through safe working conditions, fair wages and long term community partnerships.
Guided by our zero waste philosophy, we've chosen certified recycled materials, helping divert waste from landfill and transform it into something purposeful. The result is 'Pēke' - out thoughtfully made, socially responsible bag, designed to carry your essentials while carrying forward a commitment to Papatūānuku.

On arrival
Your pēke has been lovingly handmade in India, carefully packed, and shipped flat via sea freight to reduce its environmental footprint.
On arrival simply give it a gentle rub to soften the fibres. With use, it will relax beautifully and quickly become your favourite go to travel companion.

Pēke is proudly made from 100% certified, recycled cotton.
The Katoa Botanicals x re-wrap collaboration transforms pre-consumer textile waste into beautifully re-engineered fabric, giving new life to materials that would otherwise go unused. By repurposing existing fibres, demand for virgin cotton is significantly reduced, while preserving the strength, comfort, and durability of every bag. Finished with water-based eco dyes, each piece minimises chemical pollution, harsh solvents, and heavy metals, helping protect our soil and waterways while reflecting our commitment to thoughtful, planet first design.

Re-Wrap carries the following certifications.
GRS - The Global Recycled Standard is an international certification that verifies the recycled content of products, ensures responsible social, environmental, and chemical practices in production, and provides traceability throughout the supply chain.
WFTO - The World Fair Trade Organisation is a global community promoting fair trade through rigorous standards and verification.
GOTS - The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.
care plan
To keep your pēke in beautiful condition, we recommend a gentle hand wash or spot clean as needed. Alternatively, a gentle, cold machine wash will be suitable.
Because each bag is crafted from recycled textiles and finished with natural, water-based dyes, subtle variations in colour and texture may occur. These differences are completely natural and part of what makes every piece uniquely its own.
Recycling & end of use
Pēke is made from 100% recycled cotton and is designed with the Planet in mind. At the end of its life, it can be placed in any clothing recycling bin. Alternatively, thanks to its fully natural composition, it’s biodegradable and can be added to your home compost bin to safely return to the earth.
